I accidently left the window open while painting my den and the cat escaped. She had never been outside since we got her from the animal shelter 2 years ago. Those animal instincts kicked in, because she did fine for a week and half. And it snowed 3 days during that week!
I caught the neighbor cat before her with a trap I got from a local store. Luckily the raccoon didn't fall for it. Those things are vicious.
