consolation trip

We weren't able to make the Alaskan cruise with our parents two weeks ago, so we decided to make the most of our weekend and head to the Washington coast for an overnighter. We made it right in time for the sunset and then stayed at the Best Western right on the beach. They gave us a good deal. The local pizzeria had good eats for dinner and the following day was filled with kite-flying, beach strolling, salt water taffy and playing in the sand.
