our time in Maui

I love going back home to Maui. Warm weather, the sun and ocean, my mom's home cooking, and shave ice are all some of the main reasons. But the biggest reason is always to see family again, namely my parents who treat us like kings while we are there. Makaio especially enjoyed spending time with them. He played outside while my dad was building spear guns. He was in the kitchen while my mom cooked lunch. And he woke up every morning and ran into their bedroom because he was excited to spend more time with them. It was sad when we got back to Seattle and had to explain to him that he wouldn't see them again for a while.
